Why do I need a psychological evaluation for Immigration?
The psychological evaluations for immigration assist individuals and families in their immigration process. If your attorney suggested that you obtain a report from an immigration evaluator, you’ve come to the right professional. I have worked with immigrants from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and I specialize in psychological assessments and immigration evaluations.
What Is a Psychological Evaluation?
A psychological assessment for immigration help assist with the credibility of the immigrant and helps immigration court decide if the person can remain in the U.S. An immigration evaluation begins by communicating with the attorney. It is very important to speak with the attorney and gather pertinent information about the case. The attorney will be in regular contact with me throughout the process. The immigration evaluation itself includes in-depth clinical interviews. During these interviews, I will ask the immigrant questions about them and their family members. Important aspects of the immigrant’s current mental health, personal and family history, work history, and medical and psychological history of the immigrant and members of their family is discussed. In addition to meeting with the person being evaluated, I review previous psychological and medical records. After gathering all the information, I will make conclusions and I will then write a report. Everything that is relevant to the case, is included. The evaluation goes directly to the attorney.
